| Introduction | Darren and I were married September 18, 1999. We have three beautiful children: Kasidee born in 2001, Hunter 2005, and Addison 2008. I started this blog just after Addy was born because we found out there were some complications. I wanted family and friends to be able to stay informed. While this reason was the start we have had so much fun turning it into “Our Story”. Addy was born with Trisomy 21, which means she has an extra 21st chromosome. She has Down Syndrome, an AV Canal heart defect, she was fed through an NJ tube due to horrible reflux, and an imperforate “bum”, which took 3 surgeries to correct. Kas and Hunter are so amazing and loving with her. Her first year was very hard with five surgeries, but we are so blessed with great family and friend support. We are learning so much each day and have been reminded of what is truly important in our lives. Family!! |
