I come from deserts and mountains, constellations and dust storms, dry rivers and cactus, born in the shadow of southwestern mountains between Texas, New Mexico and Mexico. other wildly disparate influences or loves that find their way into my heart--all the books that we loved and wore out as children; backpacking trips into the Sierras; danish & scandinavian minimalism; installation / environmental / street art; woodblock and linocut prints; Frederick Carter's paintings of El Paso & Juarez; and all that which ingeniously mixes the best of old and new.
