If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?
It would depend on what "level" of pirate I was. If I were a high-ranking pirate and didn't have to "swab" the poop deck, then I probably wouldn't avoid it! I'd take advantage and laugh my arse off at the poor souls cleaning! If I was a low-ranking pirate and had to swab the poop deck, then I doubt I'd find the backbreaking labor funny.
