Introduction I am a pastel artist. My day time job is an intensive care nurse. I am married with two beautiful children. I love the art of creating. It gives me balance to my life. My passion is pastel. I am a member of Ringwood Art Society and a member of the Pastel Society of Victoria. I have recently become a full member of AGRA. Pastel is my favourite medium. I love the vibrancy, the feel of the pastel and the paper. I am contiuously discovering new things about pastel. Pastel is immediate in its results. I try to capture scenes and people in action. Movement of figures and their body language are an important focus in my art. I am also fascinated about exploring color and color combinations. My artistic influences are my teacher, Terrianne Murray, Harley Brown and the impressionist painters such as Monet, Renoir and Degas. Contact me on my email account if you are interested in purchasing any of my art. tobink@hotmail.com
Interests I am interested in;, pastels, art, painting, drawing, fine arts, charcoal, family, reading, tennis and gym.
Favorite Movies Last year I saw "A death and a funeral". It made me laugh. I love all the Harry Potter series and I am eagerly awaiting the next. I like romantic comedies and I recently saw Mama Mia which was lots of fun.
Favorite Music I love most music. I like listening to 101.9 Fox but I don't like it when they play rap. My favourite radio station before then was Gold 104. They play all the music I grew up with. Stairway to heaven by Led Zeplin would be one of my favourite pieces and my son is learning to play it on the guitar. "Black and Gold" would have to be the piece that I love the most on the radio at present.
Favorite Books I am reading books by Jodi Picoult and I am hooked. Prior to reading these books I enjoyed Bryce Courtney and I love Fantasy Sci Fi. I will pretty much read anything as I love to read. Dan Brown's books were another favourite and I have read all the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling several times. I love writers that can fire up the imagination.
