| Introduction | I'm the mom of two daughters aged 16 and 12. When the Gardasil vaccine popped up, the pressure to get it was intense—even my then 9-year old's soccer coach called the parents together to hand out information. We decided to watch and wait. So this is me, watching, waiting, and ruminating as I pick my way through the information. The decision to vaccinate, or not to vaccinate, with Gardasil isn't easy. I haven’t had any issues with the other vaccines, except chicken pox, which we roundly refused. This one, though, seems different. I’d encourage anyone who reads this to share their own thoughts and experiences. Getting information from a trusted doctor or the FDA or CDC is important. But so is anecdotal information, which eventually all adds up. These are our kids, not statistics or markets. |
| Interests | Reading, hiking, movies, hanging out with friends and family. Oh, and convincing my kids that I KNOW EVERTHING and it is useless to hide. |
