Introduction	Jessica A. Vaitkus is the Director of Choral Music at Plymouth Community Intermediate School. While in Plymouth, Ms. Vaitkus has founded the afterschool Chamber Singers program and co-directed the spring musical with over 125 students in grades 6 through 8. Ms. Vaitkus maintains a private voice studio in both Plymouth and Pembroke. She is also Director of Music at St. Thecla Church in Pembroke where she cantors, accompanies, and directs the Children’s Choir. Ms. Vaitkus attended Berklee College of Music and Bridgewater State College. Ms. Vaitkus, soprano, has sung throughout the New England area in concert and operatic venues with Opera by the Bay, Boston POPS, New England Conservatory Extension Program and Bridgewater State College. Her expertise spans a diverse set of genres including Opera, Operetta, Art Song, Oratorio, and Musical Theater. Ms. Vaitkus was the Chorus Manager for the 2009 Southeastern Senior District Chorus. Ms. Vaitkus will be managing the 2010 Jr. SEMSBA Chorus. Last summer, Ms. Vaitkus traveled to Italy to perform the role of “Musetta” in Puccini’s opera, La Boheme with the International Lyric Academy of Rome and Viterbo.
