| Introduction | is an aviation & defence writer based out of bangalore, currently pursuing ph.d from mysore university. hailing from kuttemperoor (kerala); born to teacher-parents. school-skvhs, 12th-mgu, ba & bcj-ou, mcj-mku. strayed into journalism at 19 in 1993 after leaving an engineering course. on the rolls of deccan chronicle (hyderabad) in 1994 january as a sub-editor. joined the times of india (bangalore) in 1998 and headed the metro desk till 2005 april as chief copy editor, writing on defense and aviation. landed an hal job in 2005 august as its corpcom head. scripted the media policy for hal apart from launching a series of branding concepts. trump cards were two publications, minsk square matters (msm) and the plane -- 2 world-class publications. during this period, helped former Indian president dr a.p.j. abdul kalam to launch his dream e-paper 'billion beats' and was its national affairs editor. bid goodbye to hal in 2009 november and activated the inspired Indian foundation — a writers' movement for unsung heroes, as its founder president. he began writing for aviation week in april 2010. 'a different spirit' is his first book. |
