Introduction Director Meredith Drum creates narrative, animated, experimental and documentary videos. Her videos are frequently shown at Monkey Town. They have also screened at other venues including Participant, Inc, Ocularis Cinema and Anthology Film Archives. She has worked as an assistant director, cinematographer and editor on a documentary about poet Kenneth Koch and several four-channel installations for Montgomery Knott (of Monkey Town), including working as a cinematographer for Mr. Knott on location in Morocco in 2004. Her work as a documentarian and media educator has been screened at the Maya Stendhal Gallery, at the Museum of the Moving Image, on the Youth Channel and on the Food Network. In addition to working in video, Meredith is also a writer. Her poems and short stories have been published in Insurance Magazine, Pierogi Press and in the edition of Ploughshares Magazine edited by her mentor Paul Muldoon. In 2003, Meredith earned an MA in English Literature from Middlebury College and Oxford University, UK, where she received academic and creative writing awards.
