| Introduction | I write about small spaces from the perspective of a seasoned interior designer and a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. For 30 years I have designed a wide range of projects. I've worked on everything from a vintage train car, to boats, to huge 12,000 square foot estates, to small condos. I have an eagle eye and a gift for transforming houses. I love antiques, arranging flowers and rooms full of furniture. My favorite artists are Spanish Impressionist Joaquin Sorolla and the brilliant Vincent Van Gogh. |
| Interests | My two huge American Field Trained Labs are the best friends anyone could want! I spend time with them swimming at the beach and chasing balls at the dog park. I love to garden, but the "boys" - Siggy and Kai - have kind of rearranged our big back yard and it aint a pretty sight! I love to cook, make jewelry and fabric art at times. I write a lot! |
| Favorite movies | Oh....We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson. One of the best war films ever! French Kiss with Meg Ryan+ Kevin Klein. The Women starring Norma Shearer. District Nine - a wonderful parable in science fiction genre. I love WWII era films, classic John Wayne and can watch Jaws or the Godfather forever and still enjoy them! As Good As It Gets with Jack Nickelson and Helen Hunt. I have kind of eclectic film taste! |
| Favorite music | I like Patsy Cline, some Bluegrass, ABBA, the BeeGees, Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Bob Dylan, Simon + Garfunkle, folk, classical, Irish fiddle music,Latin music, the Gypsy Kings, and classic opera. I was raised around opera music on Saturday mornings at the MET. I have Madame Butterfly memorized! |
