Why does the taste of pennies remind you of losing a tooth?
The taste of a penny will give you a metallic taste as some small atoms of the metal alloy used dissolve in your saliva. After losing a tooth you will also be able to taste blood from the socket. As blood is mainly haemoglobin and the haemoglobin molecule is based around iron, the iron in your saliva will ellicit a simlar response
