About me

Introduction What started as an individual project for Professor Karen Shimakawa’s class in the Department of Performance Studies at New York University took the form of a collective creation that couldn’t be achieved without the help of all the members who have participated in it. In Lima, the inspired work of the performer Sandro La Torre, of Nudos Teatro, gave the project a more ambitious shape. Julio Miguel Torres made it possible with his excellent videographic-eye and his knowledge of the web. It also couldn’t be completed without the help of Ana Paula Rey, Sheillah Gutierrez, Carmen Meike, Mario Ballón, Bruno Ceccarelli, José El Gato Rodríguez, Eugenie and The French Girl, and Johnny Lizardo. In Pennsylvania and New York, this project had the invaluable support of Matt Bush, Lorena Cuya, KeeKee McKay, Emmanuelle Lambert-Lemoine, Rachel Menyuk, Graydon Wetzler, and the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics’ staff.
