Introduction	My name is Sarah Maslin. I'm 17 years old, and a senior at Madison West. I am currently serving my second year on the School Board for the Madison Metropolitan School District. My job is to be the students' voice during decision making on the board. The board is responsible for nearly every decision that ultimately affects students in their daily lives. The new food policy? Approved by the board. The addition of another class at Nuestro Mundo, allowing more elementary students the chance for an exciting opportunity to have a bilingual education, and the referendum last fall that increased funding for our schools? These hot topics all went through the board before they affected you every single day.
