Introduction A youngish mom of 4 with a couple of step-children on the side. I've made it into the field of nursing, ultimately go to grad school to be an ARNP with a heavy emphasis on herbal medicine and disease prevention.
Interests Pop-culture, movies, gardening, (although you would have no clue by looking at my house, ) my sweet fender jazz bass I don't have the time to play, anglophilia, genetics, aliens, microbiology, malaria, family history, impressionist art, quilting, herbal medicine, running (when I'm not preggers), belly dancing, yoga, making people laugh, and futbol- GO CHELSEA!!! YEAH BABY!!!!
Favorite Movies Nanny McPhee, Finding Nemo, any Jane Austen based flick (except the new PBS adaptations-those were just dumb), Persuasion, Lost, (so it's not a movie sue me), Stranger than fiction, About A Boy, Moulin Rouge, Water Boy, Last of the Mohicans, LOTR, I Am Legend (only because it got my hubby to stop turning the radio when Bob Marley came on), Sicko, Supersize Me, Shaun of the Dead, V for Vendetta, and Tim Burton flicks- except for Ed Wood I never got into that one...
Favorite Music WRed Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Weezer, The Fugees, Wyclef Jean, Celtic Women, Outkast, Flogging Molly, White Stripes, Anything with bass. Beatles, KT Tunstall, Jack Johnson, Tom Petty, The Police
Favorite Books Carl Goes to Daycare, Family Herbal, Parry Hotter, Douglas Adams' four book triology, Chronicles of Narnia, The Screwtape Letters, The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, pretty much any 19th century English lit, Persuasion, and The Hobbit.
