Introduction I think I was born a film lover, spawned by another one...years ago my father said "Never trust most critics' review of a black film. They just don't get it". Time again I've found that to be true. I reached my limit after seeing "Shadowboxer" a film with blacks involved in the production, directing, and acting that I found very interesting. It was killed by the critics. While I am a huge film lover of all genres, this blog is about only one. There is a need for different voices on film. I will review, comment, and give information about new black films and DVD's. There will also be throwbacks. I might get on my soapbox sometimes, or sometimes gossip, depending on how I feel that day. I might talk about my brief foray into the industry with a studio that will henceforth remain unnamed (TWHRU), as they are unworthy anyway. I will post info and links to black film festivals, and events specific to our moving images. The title of this blog is a homage to the book by Ralph Ellison, as in the new millenium, we are still invisible in the decision making process, and that includes Hollywood. **UPDATE** 11/4/08: Ummm...yeah. Can you say BLACK PRESIDENT?

Only after I left it on the floor and it turned to cheese.
