Introduction I'm a Chinese-American, born and raised in Southern California, but went to college in Boston and never looked back. I first enlisted in the Army in '92 as a Signal Intelligence specialist, then drilled and went through ROTC during college. I was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Armor branch upon graduation from Harvard in '96. I spent 5 glorious years stationed in Friedberg, Germany, before deciding to go back to school to get my MBA. Three years ago, I moved to China for work and ended up liking it enough to stay. In March '09, I was activated to active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I will be a forward deployed theater observer attached to the 10th Mountain Division (Infantry) to observe, capture, and share best practices and lessons learned from the front. These insights will come from speaking with commanders, NCOs, soldiers, and direct observations while going out on missions.
