Introduction	Max was a stray a friend found in her yard in July last year (2012). In August he had his first attack of UTI and bladder stones. He had surgery to remove the stones and we thought that was that. Unfortunately it was just the first attack in what we have been told is a liver shunt. This blog is my attempt to explain what liver shunts are and our trek through all the long words and financial obstacles in our search for a cure for his liver condition.
