HysterFashionGirl
My blogs
| Introduction | I’m 30-ish, a professional sales representative, and a “girlie girl” (my husband’s description of me). I had my hysterectomy in May 2011, to treat Stage 1 cervical cancer. I still have my ovaries, which means I still have my girlie girl hormones. But ovaries or not, hysterectomy patients need some fashion help after surgery! I had the swollen leg (edema) and I currently still carry my “Swelly Belly” which means all my Pre-op clothes for work and play will not be worn for a while. I’m part of a wonderful web site’s forum called www.hystersisters.com, but since I couldn’t post any links to my fashion finds, I decided to post those links and photos here for anyone who can find this blog. Post-op hysterectomy patients (and even post-op C-section patients) can probably use some of these posts to help them find fashion pieces that will make the return to normalcy a little easier on our self-esteem and our changed bodies. But we are all beautiful, especially after surviving the surgery and the 4-6 week recovery period. Enjoy! |
