| Introduction | Hello and welcome to my story. I've been many things in my life, but I've always been a lover of nature, and in trying to conserve and preserve as much as I can. I'm originally from a southern state, and moved to Florida from a 5 acre tract, where I tried to provide as much for me and mine as I could. I didn't do as good a job as I probably should have, but the need was not as great as it is now. I wish I had that 5 acres back, and another chance, because I would do it much differently. Now with the prices skyrocketing, and my bank account getting smaller every day just to provide the essentials, I'm driven to try to provide for myself again. It's only me this time, and I no longer have 5 acres. I have .23 acres, to be exact, which is just a tad less than 1/20th of what I used to have. Still, I've begun a journey that will eventually lead me to some degree of self-sufficiency, and I want to share this journey with you. You don't have to go as far as I plan to go, but even growing a few of your own vegetables can help toward making us less dependent on the products we import every day. Thank you for reading, and feel free to comment. Enjoy the ride, I know I will. |
