| Introduction | I write. I write poetry, and prose, and flash fiction, and short stories, and if I'm very very lucky I may one day write a novel. I write about people, and how they interact with each other. I write about monsters, and sometimes that means writing about people. Sometimes I write about things that have happened or things that might yet happen, but mostly I write about things that I imagine happening. I write, because if I don't all the words pile up inside my head and get stuck in there, and then I'm out of sorts until I get them straightened out. I write things for people who don't mind thinking about what they read. If I think it's going to be extra-upsetting, then I try to let my readers know, but I am assuming that if you are reading my writing you are a grownup. I have a day job. I don't ever expect to make a living with my writing. But I write because it makes me happy to write. And I share it because it makes me happy to know someone wants to read. |
