Introduction	Renaissance shepherd and recently-retired school teacher, I have lived in the foothills of northern San Diego County (in Southern California) for forty years. This is where my three children (now grown) were raised and where I keep a small flock of fiber animals. I have been raising natural colored sheep, llamas and goats and spinning their fleece for decades. Retirement has given me a chance to devote more time to these pursuits, as well as to our 7 grandchildren. This blog is a place where I hope to share with you the joys of life here on the ranch and the comings and goings of family. I also hope to offer fiber fans, weavers. felters, spinners and knitters some of the unique fleece and fiber items that we produce.
