| Introduction | A little background: My name is Donna Kwok. Nader and I have been married since 2003. Nader started his wedding photography business, Photography by Nader Coobtee, in 2005. Shortly thereafter, I started my own calligraphy business, Letter Perfect Calligraphy. Nader was photographing weddings pretty much on his own, and I just helped with equipment. After a while, it became apparent that Nader’s business was expanding quickly, and that my efforts were put to better use in partnering with him. I shuttered my calligraphy business at the end of 2006. And we decided to become Red Lantern Photography to reflect that the business is not a one-man operation. The name, Red Lantern, was inspired by a trip to China in 2005. We saw many red lanterns during our time there, and they are festive and celebratory. The red color reminds us of love, joy, passion and happiness — just some of the many emotions that surround the special couple on their wedding day. |
