| Introduction | Adrian Shirk is a one-woman balancing act from the shores of New York, as well as the Pacific Northwest. She met Lily Herman (a sassy floating eyebrow raised in the hoop skirt of Baltimore) in the fall of 2007 at Pratt Institute where they were both studying creative writing.
