| Introduction | I am a published mystery author as well as the owner and editor-in-chief of Dogwood Press, a small but traditional publishing house headquartered in Brandon, Mississippi. Simply put, I love to write. I am doing what I was born to do. And while Dogwood Press certainly has not put major publishing companies like Random House out of business, we are adding new authors and titles to our growing roster each year. And that means sifting through a growing number of proposals from writers from all over the South who, like me and the authors Dogwood Press has published, are just as passionate about their work. Storytelling is one of the true hallmarks of being a Mississippian, along with all the barbecue, sweet tea, and the insufferable summertime humidity. In that vein, I hope you enjoy a few tales from the road. There is nothing better than meeting up with folks who enjoy buying books and meeting the author. |
