| Introduction | Keeping Abreast is to provide updates on how things are going throughout the breast cancer treatments. I'll also use it beyond breast cancer, which should be done and dusted by mind November 2017. I'll post pictures of my paintings and fun times too. |
| Interests | My interests centre around my family and friends which definitely includes the children. Singing and songs that grab me. I love the creative and rewarding aspects of work and everyone who is a part of that. I love to travel and more recently, to paint. I don't find starting a painting at all easy but once I get going, time and everything recedes. The delight when something good is produced is just great! Music: I particularly love 1970's soul, funk and RNB. I've not into rock, metal, folk or country music, although I can enjoy in short doses and at a volume that suits. I love listening to the ABC, BBC and other non commercial stations. My politics is to the left, I believe in unions and the ALP. Jane Elliott is my hero. |
| Favorite movies | I don't like suspense at all and patriarchy reinforcing movies repel me. That doesn't leave a wide choice unfortunately. Suggestions welcomed! |
| Favorite music | Soul, funk, rnb, socially conscious rap, am steadily developing an appreciation for jazz and classical. |
| Favorite books | I listen to the radio and podcasts more often than read these days. Favourite writers include Mary Morrissy, Graeme Aitken and the yet to be published Rosemary Pryor. |
