| Introduction | I have been married to a truly amazing man for over 28 years. We have four birth children, a daughter age 27, a son, age 25 and twins, a girl and a boy age 21. We have three adopted sons, ages 21, 11, and 7. Our two younger boys have many special needs but are a blessing to us none the less. We have done foster care for about 9 years and despite the difficult situations that arise, it is a very rewarding experience and there is a such a need for good foster homes. At this point I have to say that in my opinion, our birth children are totally awesome individuals. It was a family decision to do foster care and then when the opportunity arose, to adopt. Our kids eagerly opened their hearts and shared their parents. We could never have had this opportunity to help other kids if it hadn't been for our wonderful children....we love them dearly. |
