Introduction Aleksandra Kunkiel-Kryńska studied law at the Warsaw University, from which she graduated with best results and the distinction merit in 2004 with specialization in civil law. In 2003 she graduated from the English and European Law Centre - two-year course co-organized by Cambridge and Warsaw Universities. In 2004 she studied at Erasmus University Rotterdam (scholarship). Aleksandra has held internships at international law firms and at the European Commission in Brussels (DG SANCO, Legal Affairs unit). She set up and worked in the Polish European Consumer Centre (ECC-net). She works in one of the biggest law firms in Poland - Wierzbowski Eversheds. Aleksandra is a legal adviser trainee at the Warsaw District Chamber of Legal Advisers. In 2012 she defended her doctoral dissertation on European consumer law harmonisation at the Institute of Legal Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She has authored many articles, in particular on European law and is a co-author of the book "Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts". Her research interests are mainly in EU consumer law, harmonization and implementation processes.
