| Introduction | Brainy Academy is a tutoring and enrichment center located in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. We use unique methods to educate children. We believe that it is far more useful to teach children to solve problems and have logic and reasoning skills than it is to have them memorize material. We use the Montessori system, which allows children to work with special educational materials approved by the program. Children pick the materials they are interested in and work with them for as long as they need. The teacher facilitates. Montessori classes are known for teaching children proper logic, reasoning, cognitive, and motor skills. Even though our classes are for young children, we teach letters and numbers, keeping children ahead of the curve. To tutor, we use the Singapore Math Method, which is based on model-drawing in order to solve problems. This system is known to be one of the best in the world for teaching. |
