| Introduction | I am an interior designer, wife and mother of two who recently relocated to Charlotte, NC from the burbs of Los Angeles. Now that my children are becoming increasingly independent, I am on a search for self discovery while discovering design in a new city. From a young age, I was always interested in design, so when I entered into college, I majored in art with an emphasis in interior design. By the time I graduated from college I was already working in the field, designing model homes for many large home builders in Southern California. I continued my work in the model home industry, while exploring other avenues of design, residential homes and some commercial projects including community and sales centers and private offices. As the housing market bottomed out, the model industry did too. Timing is everything, and at this time my husband and I had started a family. It's been a wonderful experience raising two beautiful smart and healthy children. Being at home with them has been so rewarding. My youngest is now in preschool and I have free time now to explore all that Charlotte has to offer. I am hoping to find inspiration for design, and to share my thoughts and ideas here. |
