Introduction	I am a survivor of child abuse and neglect. By owning my past and changing my perception on life I have found moments of peace. My desire is to not pass the previous abuse legacy on to my own children. I now understand that life is made up by a series of choices. What I do from here on out are choices that are entirely up to me. I choose not to be at the affect of my past; and I choose no longer to be a victim. I know that my children are a gift from God. The best way that I can serve them is to be the very best mom that I can be; which means being present for them, my husband, and the world. This blog is the medium for talking about the everyday steps on the path of life. Many of these steps are forward moving and some of them are in the opposite direction. Nevertheless my feet are moving down the road. I choose to live my life from a state of gratitude.

Favorite music	Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Asia, Sting--I also like instamentals and classical music.
Favorite books	Harry Potter, The Help,the Bible, A Course in Miracles, The Tao Te Ching. I like books on spirituality, religon and insperation; I also love biographies.
