| Introduction | I am a 45 y.o "ol' fert" who likes to swim laps, who hates political conservatism [but respects conservative folk even when they hate me in return because I am not just like them], who is a disaffected democrat who wishes his party would get a clue and present a real challenge to the fascists who're ruining this country. I am single, sometimes a simpleton as well. I have Asperger's Syndrome, which is a type of higher-functioning autism. Just like Bill u-know-who ;+) - I am prone to rocking in my chair when I am stressed or concentrating. I tend to perseverate on things which drive NTs batty. But, unlike many aspies, I consider myself affectionate and loving and frustrated that I can't convey personal warmth with any facility. So I am alone... but never lonely. Too many tasks undone for me to dwell on a minor thing like solitude. I really wanted my username to be "I'm Pat!" but that [like everything else good] was taken. I hate capitalization, i prefer to type everything lowercase but to make you happy, until now i was a good boy and used proper case. |

The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?
In basic training, when i doffed my boots, i was relieved my toes were not blackened, even though they were numb! but they were red.
