Introduction Cupola Hollow Farm is a fourth generation continuous operating farm. In 1976, Sisters Donna and Kathy began actively to run the farm and have continued to do so to today.
Interests In 2004 the 58-acre family farm was placed into the joint partnership farmland preservation program with the State of Ct and The Town of Suffield. The sisters are very proud of this accomplishment as the farm is one of three other preserved farms that comprise the neighborhood. “Our belief runs strong and is dedicated to preserving farming and an agricultural presence with in our community” has been the motto that states the integrity of sisters. Today, joined by Kathy’s two Daughters the girls help with the Farm Stand, the harvest and the three Farmers Markets they attend. In the spring of 2007 the farm was awarded an Agriculture Viability Grant from the State of Connecticut to build an energy efficient farm stand that also contained a “Certified Kitchen” to allow for the expansion of the farm business. The ability now exists to grow, pick, process and market the produce grown on the farm. Together they have also found the strong need within our community for locally grown food and fully support the “Connecticut Grown” Program. In the Summer of 2010 kicks off their first year hosting a Suffield CSA (Community Supporting Agriculture) Cupola Hollow Farm has also carves out a niche market with the creation of a wide variety of custom created gift baskets that contain most all products that are made on the farm or from locally grown Connecticut products. Feel free to visit the farm and explore what we have to offer!
