Introduction	Once upon a time I was a mountain bike downhill USA champion and a World's medalist. Then a series of unfortunate events happened and I got fat. Events included marrying a man 7 yrs my junior who suffered a massive stroke just 3 months after we were married. I gave up my lucrative real estate career to care for him. After 7.5 years, he took a long cruise, met a 30 yr old lady and basically replaced me with her. Now we are divorcing. I must have some good karma somewhere waiting for me. My first husband, a wonderful human being, came out some 13 years after we were married and two beautiful children. A dear friend of mine says I've lived more in a week than she has in a life-time. I tell her that isn't necessarily a good thing. Now, I teach 8th graders algebra and geometry and keep plugging away on my fitness journey. Fitness leads to health and being healthy and able to move means I can have fun and give to my children and perhaps, their children. Being healthy is everything. Having a sense of humor, imperative.
