| Introduction | I once worked in a war zone, now I want to own a home, adopt a couple of kids, get a dog, and have a democratic president. Did I get old? Maybe. But once I have all those things, I can see myself pulling the kids out of school and driving around Africa for months on end. I'm in a place where I feel like if I'm going to have those things in my life, I need to do it now. I'm 41 afterall. Kids need to happen now. But I can always drive around Africa when I'm 60. If you're reading my blog, it's probably worthwhile for you to know that I need to lose about 80 - 90 lbs, I'm a low-carber, I hate exercise (I may well be one of the laziest people on the planet), and I also have ADD (obviously without hyperactivity!), and depression. The later is totally controlled, the former...not so much, but me and the drug doc is workin' on it. |
