Introduction	This is a place for the stories that have shaped my little life. I have worked as a contributing journalist for The South Bend Tribune, The Tennessean, Gannett Press, In-Review, Village Voice Media, Teen People, Redbook and Dig Magazine but have always told other peoples stories, these are mine. I am at about chapter 15 of a book called 'Small Town Politics', a story about what happens when a single mother of two runs for state office...I ran in the district that has recently been the subject of stories by MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show, The Colbert Report, NPR, The NY Times and 30 other media outlets because the person I was running against introduced legislation that brought national attention to Benton Harbor, MI. I am not sure who will read this blog, or what I will post from week to week, but welcome to the side of my life not a lot of people know.
