Introduction	After an 8yr hiatus from racing, I dove back into the triathlon world in 2008 with Ironman Wisconsin. Three years, 2 Ironmans, 4 marathons and number of shorter tri's later, I've discovered a great way to balance my work life and an enjoyment of constantly striving for another goal. ...................................... This blog is about my medical life and my preparations for the Ironman World Championships on Oct 13....................... I'm currently completing my residency in Family Medicine in Chicago, IL. Prior to med school, I worked as a Head Athletic Trainer for an NFL Europe team and held sports medicine internships with the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. Earned my degree in Dietetics and Sports Medicine and enjoy combining these disciplines in structuring my training and nutrition.
