Introduction | One day I was born. Shortly after that I decided there were a few things that were indeed worth being alive for: Autumn, the North Wind, Cats, and Art. one of my favorite things in the world, and something I'm afflicted with almost every minute of everyday, is something called "Saudade." It's a Portuguese word that is notoriously one of the hardest words to translate. To me it means a sort of nostalgic desire or longing for something or someone that may never have existed. It's an odd state, one that always pervades my daydreams, and is a feeling I attempt to convey in all of my art and photography. I get a great joy out of creating wonderful things from an odd assortment of materials. I collect everything. Often times I'll pick up something neat, thinking it'd be great to use in something, only to have it sit around for years before I find something to do with it. By then I usually have an odd attachment to it and don't want to use it. |
