| Introduction | I started to blog several months ago after being in a car accident that left me with a serious neck fracture. I was immobilized in a halo vest for nine weeks, followed by five weeks in a cervical collar. It was a difficult time in my life and it left me with a desire to tell my story in case it might help others in a similar situation. I have since recovered completely from the fracture but am happy to have written about the events as it helps to remind me how lucky I am to have escaped more serious consequences. I have started another blog for the publishing of some poems I wrote in dedication to those I love and have loved. Although they are very personal, I put them on my blog for my family members to see, and for anyone else who might care to read them. The poems are simply written and straight from the heart. |
