| Introduction | Mother, sister, friend, soulja, songbird, writer, jokster, lover... I am all these things... Expressing them in song, art form, ghettoistically speaking... just doin me! I live ... in my head, more than I should... and it is there that I process every thought, concept, idea, fear and dream. In the corner's of my mind... I give life to words that haunt me, impregnate my belly, churn my stomach, forcing their way up through my chest --- my heart --- invading spaces that used to be closed. I allow them to breathe, move through the tips of my fingers, the curve of my lips and LIVE... in spoken word or in song. Although it starts in the pit of my stomach, the center of my spirit... it is in the Corner's of my Mind that understanding, compassion and freedom give life to all that I am. |
