Introduction	In September 1987, a group of talented cloth doll artists organized by Bonnie Hoover joined together to form The Flying Phoebes Cloth Doll Makers Club, a non-profit organization founded to promote cloth doll making and appreciation and collection of cloth dolls. Beginning in 2013, membership is no longer limited to 25 and new members are welcomed upon payment of yearly dues. Members receive an electronic newsletter 6 times a year and an electronic postcard in alternating months. Membership enables participation in workshops, lectures, and community outreach projects.
