Introduction Hakha, the capital city of the Chin State, lies in the slope of Rungtlang which is over 7543 feet high and Hakha is 6120 ft above sea level. The landscape is steep. The soil is soft; there is a weakness of the solid rock underneath the surface of the slope around the city. Landslides occur in the city every year. Hakha is also in one of the most dangerous earthquake zones in Myanmar. There are many deep and long earth cracks around the city. Many homes have been removed downward by the slow process landslides in many areas. People lost million of kyats.. Therefore CBCUSA started a preliminary research to document the landslides around the city in 2014. The purpose for the research is to take photo and record of about the landslides; to predict the possible future landslide in the area; to make public awareness of the dangers and risks of landslide; to educate people to choose a more stable site for their homes; to ask the city government to fund the city project and make a better city plan for future Hakha; to pave way for extensive future research regarding landslide in Hakha area to protect the people and their city.
