Introduction I am a writer and teacher living in Memphis, TN. I have served as an editor in various capacities, including managing editor, of The University’s literary journal, The Pinch, and am currently serving as a contributing editor. Recent and forthcoming publications include Word Riot, The Missouri Review, and Fourth Genre. The essay, “Solipsism,” by Ander Monson, that I edited, was chosen by Robert Atwan for inclusion in 2008’s Best American Essays. I have been privileged to work with many notable authors, including Richard Bausch, Ellen Bryant Voigt, Michael Steinberg, Dinty Moore, Steven Church, and Mark Doty, and have presented papers at the Association of Writing Programs Conference (2008, 2009), The College English Association (2005), and have had many public readings of my work, most recently as a part of the Writers on the Road Series at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
