| Introduction | On October 14th 2005, I had a nervous breakdown. A perfect storm of -- depending whom you ask -- mid-life crisis, brain chemistry gone ballistic, Pluto opposite Sun, raging kundalini, congealed heart ch’i, major depressive episode, and/or dysphoric mania. During the “madness,” I wrote e-mails to friends, notes to myself, and transcripts of conversations with health professionals. This blog alternates writing from that time with contemporary comments four years later. It may cast some light on the darkness. |
