| Introduction | Mademoiselle Galerie is the blog of me, Lisa Freeman. I am a painter and draughtsman, best known for landscapes that are rendered in vibrant colours and expressive marks. I live and work in Hertfordshire, and my work can be seen online at www.lisafreeman.co.uk |
| Interests | I am interested in the arts, primarily painting and colour, and loud loud music. and quiet music too. |
| Favorite movies | I enjoy surprising people with the amount of popular films I have not seen, although this past-time was somewhat ruined when the programme 'I've never seen star wars' was invented. But anyway I've never seen the following: Star Wars, any of the Lord of the Rings, Dirty Dancing, Grease I or Grease II (i think they both exist), Indiana Jones (any), Dr Strangelove, Cocktail, Top Gun...oh hang on, I'm not answering the right question, am i? What a fool. In any case, this answer was probably more interesting. I quite liked shrek. |
| Favorite music | I enjoy listening to quiet folk music more as I get boring and older, such as Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, Laura Marling, Liz Green, James Taylor. But I also have an obsession with Motown which will surely never die, and 80s pop music including the likes of Duran Duran, Nik Kershaw, Spandau Ballet. I also love Elvis. And Antony and the Johnsons. And Radiohead. And Grandmaster flash. And Deerhoof. So really, a bit of everything. But don't you just hate it when people say that. |
| Favorite books | I am guilty of not reading enough books. But the one that scared me and also made me go wow was surely 1984 by George Orwell. Sorry, cliche-a-rama. |
