| Introduction | Juan Ramirez, Jr. provides mediation, arbitration and consulting services through ADR Miami LLC. He was formerly a Neutral at JAMS and is the former Chief Judge of the Third District Court of Appeal . He served as a district court judge from January 2, 2000 until his retirement on April 30, 2012. He previously served as a circuit court judge (1990-99) and as a county court judge (1988-90). Juan Ramirez earned a B.A and an M.A. degree from Vanderbilt University. He also worked on a Ph.D. in Latin American History at the University of Florida. He is an adjunct professor at the law schools for the University of Miami and Florida International University. He graduated with honors in 1975 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
