Introduction	Black girl nerd: noun, female nerd of African descent. Typical likes include a love of technology, books, movies (especially horror and sci-fi), comics, and especially makeup! We are quite an under-respresented minority in the nerd world! I’m here to stand up and declare that it’s okay to be a black nerd! Say it loud! I’m a black nerd and I’m proud! As for me. Well, obviously, I’m a black girl who is a nerd. I’m also an Anglophile (gotta love my British television and movies.) I tend to lose my mind when around techno stuff. It’s a total ADD thing. Reading is the ultimate in relaxation despite what other non-intellectual types say. If you’re at all interested at what I have to say about nerdy things, beauty, or whatever pops into my brain then I won’t disappoint you.
Interests	Writing, reading, bookstores and libraries, makeup, going out with friends, bar-hopping, watching movies, shopping.
Favorite movies	Pride and Prejudice (the A&E version), Gosford Park, EuroTrip, Harry Potter series, Kick Ass, Dirty Dancing, Peter's Friends, The Big Chill, The Color Purple, The Wizard of Oz, Newsies, Nightmare on Elm Street.
Favorite music	TV on the Radio, Queen, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Elton John, any classical, disco, pretty much any music with the exception of country and extreme heavy metal.
Favorite books	Pride and Prejudice, Dan Brown, Harry Potter
