| Introduction | At the request of my parents, I have moved in with them to help them out. My daughters, ages 20 and 16, and our two cats moved in March 2008. This is the telling of my journey with her, as Mom fades away. Each day she is a shade lighter than the day before. Thus my blog title, "Shades of Mom". |

| Favorite movies | Too many to lists, but here are a few: Chocolate, Moonstruck, MIB, Day After Tomorrow, Casablanca, Gone With the Wind and my first favorite movie: Wizard of Oz - I am hooked forever on red shoes. |
| Favorite music | Eclectic tastes covering most music except rap - I can't understand a word of it and when I do pick out a word it is usually so trashy that I change the station. |
| Favorite books | Reaching Out by Henri Nouwen, Urgings of the Heart by Au and Cannon, The Lamb by Chritopher Moore, The Anatomy of Hope by Jerome Groopman, M.D. and of course a few romance and mystery novels thrown in for fun and diversion. |
You're trapped in a well with a goat and a slinky. Describe how you will escape.
I have no idea. I was never good at these kind of questions. In my fantasy world...I wait a few minutes for Indiana Jones to throw down his ever handy rope and pull me up. We send someone else to get the goat. As for the slinky, it is on its own.
