| Introduction | I've always been enamored with the ideal housewife. Fictional characters like June Cleaver (Leave It To Beaver), Lucy Ricardo (I Love Lucy), and Laura Petrie (The Dick Van Dyke Show). Unfortunately I was not born with the skills of these women, and I am not sure that anyone really is. In the scriptures we learn that when we humble ourselves our weaknesses will become strengths. My goal since becoming a mother has been to become the housewife and mom I want to be. Since there really aren't classes to become the ideal housewife and mom, I've had to do a lot of research (TV watching) and a lot of trial and error. I was a horrible cook until about 2 yrs ago. I photograph my dishes to remind myself that I can accomplish anything I put my heart into. It's kind of like a figurative pole vault measurement. With each attempt I hope to get better. This blog is to remind me of my development to become my ideal housewife and mom. I hope you will be a witness. |
