| Introduction | I like mellow nights at home with my husband, the cat and the dog. I like rowdy nights out with my girlfriends. I'm ftcomfortable at a monster truck rally as much as a black-tie affair. I like knitting and buying yarn that I may never use. I'm attracted to the textures and amazing colors. I like yoga and a good sweat, but I rarely let the two combine. I suffer from depression, anxiety and eating disorder. I want you to hear me, see me, respect me, recognize me. I want you to know what it's like to mend after decades of using maladaptive coping skills. I write for myself. I write for you. I write because it helps me heal. Maybe it can help you or someone you know. Or at the very least be entertaining! |
