About me

Occupation Retired Educator
Location Pierce, Nebraska
Introduction I'm a retired (41 years! Whew!) elementary teacher. At the end of my career I became the district's Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator. That was a huge learning curve, but it was a good challenge. Our teachers did such an awesome job, I am still so proud of their work! Hubby and I have three children on earth and one in heaven. We also have seven grandchildren and one more on the way! We are exceedingly proud of each of them. They all live in Nebraska so we can easily drive to see them. My undergraduate degree is in music education from Concordia Teachers College (now Concordia University) at Seward, Nebraska. My master's degree is in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College, Crete, Nebraska. I have an additional endorsement in Assessment from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska. Education is important in our family. Currently I volunteer at our local hospital, at Orphan Grain Train, and at Birthright. Plus, I help at Hubby's office when he needs a hand and I play the organ for church once a month. We are fortunate to have several organists! And, OF COURSE, if kids need help, I run!
