| Introduction | I have failed in many ways. In short, I am a sinner. Thankfully, I am also saved by the grace of God through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. I plan to use this blog to 'journal' my efforts to correct some of my failures. Everyone has room for improvement. Hopefully this will encourage you as well. I am 42 years old, about 5'11" tall and weigh about 390 pounds. I have lost sight of something important here: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV) "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." To that end, I just bought a bicycle and will strive to ride it every day. I will also spend more time studying God's Word. I will focus on building my relationship with God so that I can become a better husband, father, employee, son, brother, friend, etc. Psalm 119: 9-11 (NIV) How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your Word. I seek You with all my heart; do not let me stray from Your commands. I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You. |
